Prism

Introducing Prism

Adventure 33’s Prism is a purpose-built, redundant, global broadcasting platform designed to replace traditional satellite audio distribution.

Its hardware and software are engineered from the ground up to work in unison, creating a resilient omni-directional Audio Delivery Network (ADN) for broadcast-grade audio delivery from studios to affiliates. Prism gives you a cost-effective solution that offers far more ease, control, insight, and flexibility than traditional satellite distribution. And it’s all remotely controlled from any browser — even your phone!

Down With Downtime

How omni-directional is it? There is no single point of failure anywhere in the architecture. Prism routes audio simultaneously across five independent infrastructure layers and multiple cloud and dedicated providers, each with different network paths among multiple geographic regions. If a vendor has an outage, your audio is already flowing through the other layers. If a fiber cut takes down one network path, traffic keeps flowing via the other layers.

Prism has delivered uninterrupted service during major cloud provider outages that took down thousands of websites and services. While other systems went dark, Prism’s audio delivery stayed on air because the architecture simply routed around the problem. It’s resilient by design.

Incredible Bang for Your Buck

Encoders and receivers are a one-time purchase with no recurring fees. The Prism network infrastructure, web portal and support operate on a flat monthly or annual subscription model. No surprises, no usage charges, just predictable and affordable operational costs.

Prism Blue Quattro hardware receiver — 1RU front panel

Prism Blue Quattro

Hardware Receiver

The Prism Blue Quattro hardware receiver is designed to be a drop-in replacement for traditional satellite receivers. Housed in a sleek 1RU enclosure, it receives up to four independent IP audio program streams simultaneously and features a vivid LCD screen that displays all program and relay details.

The Quattro features 32 relay closures for automation integration, along with dual power, dual network, headphone monitoring and front-panel status indicators.

Prism Red virtual receiver — live channel dashboard

Prism Red

Virtual Receiver

Prism Red is the world’s first ever software-based virtual receiver that runs on Windows and Linux based environments (on-prem, cloud-VM, etc.). Red connects to the same Prism omni-directional Audio Delivery Network as the Quattro.

It outputs audio to any local sound device driver, or routes it directly to playout and automation systems via virtual audio drivers, with each audio channel independently assignable to its own unique audio output.

You can configure virtual relay triggers to send virtual closure information directly to automation playout systems, completely eliminating the need for physical relay closures. This makes Red the ideal receiver for environments where playout is 100% cloud-hosted, allowing stations to deploy and scale receivers across an entire group without shipping hardware to every site. The Windows/Linux based Prism software encoder (available separately) offers unlimited I/O.
