The Omnia.9 FM processor boasts simultaneous separate processing cores for FM and Optional HD, delivering superb audio punch, power and clarity in a 3-RU rack unit. Among its many features is exclusive “Undo” technology, a source declipping algorithm and program-adaptive multiband expander that removes distortion from source material, correcting over-processed CDs, so common in today's contemporary music.
Notable Changes from the OMNIA 9 MKII
Hardware, operating system, and licensing changes include:
The CN-9000 I/O board has been replaced with our brand-new CN-9007 design, eliminating FireWire components for internal data transport, and updating FPGA and other board-level components that had reached end-of-life.
The operating system moves from Windows 8 embedded to Windows 10 IoT, providing the latest-generation security and long-range support.
Licensing, features, and software updates now employ Telos Alliance's Key9 system, allowing us to follow software upgrade and Telos Care policies consistent with our other Telos Alliance products, and take advantage of emerging license integration and tracking capabilities designed to better serve our dealers and customers.
Software Update Changes
Importantly, future “.pak” file updates will not be compatible between Omnia.9 MKIII and previous generation units due to significant hardware and OS differences. Going forward, we will note which .pak version belongs to which generation of Omnia.9. Distinguishing hardware generations is best accomplished by looking at the unit's serial number. As a rule of thumb, new MKIII units have a serial number prefix of 0646T, while earlier unit serial numbers begin with 0292.
