The Sennheiser E604 microphone is perfect for micing drumsets, with its ability to easily clip onto the rims of drums and percussion instruments. The frequency response and cardioid pick-up pattern are optimized for percussion instrument miking, while also producing exceptional results on brass and woodwinds. In addition to clip-on mounting, an integral stand mount also screws directly onto mic stands.

The E604 features very high sound pressure level handling, in excess of 160 dB, combined with a low distortion signal, delivering clear and balanced reproduction of even the loudest sources. A lightweight voice coil provides extended high frequency and rapid transient response. A tough, reinforced fiberglass body takes the knocks and shocks of drum micing, keeping impact noise to a minimum.
