The HELIAC-R is a culmination of the most often used tools in the live event world of fiber optics. Once this compact, 2RU testing suite is in place, your technicians will be able to simply plug in the ST cables to one of three ports; the microscope, the visual fault locator (laser), or the optical power meter. This unit brings instant savings and convenience. You’ll save hours of setup and troubleshooting time. The presence of the HELIAC-R will organically force your technicians to clean and inspect before plugging in dirty fiber connectors that foul up your permanent infrastructure.   • Fiber Microscope
  • Interchangeable Ferrules: Comes with both 2.5mm and 1.25mm mating adaptors to accommodate ST, SC, FC and LC fiber connectors.
  • Focus: Large, easy to use focus ring to quickly sharpen the image in seconds or less.
  • LCD Screen: High quality 3.5” LCD display for easy viewing.
  • X/Y Pan Controls: X/Y position is locked to a fixed position with set screws or included thumb screws for easy adjustment.
  • Optical Power Meter
  • Green Lights: Good Green lights show good power levels, yellow lights for low but measurable signal, and red for very low power levels. No need to think in dB units if you don’t want to.
  • OLED Display: The meter readout is also shown on a high-vis OLED screen showing precision power levels in several units. Absolute units shown as decibels with reference to one milliwatt(dBm) and actual milliwatts(mW).
  • Relative Measurements: Hold the button to zero the meter to a reference level, just like zeroing a scale.
  • Visual Fault Indicator/Laser
  • Light Up the Bad Fibers: Extremely simple use, just press the button to turn on the laser. Extremely handy to ID fiber lines or to cause breaks and tight bends visible in patch cables to glow.
  • The Right Amount of Laser: At 2mW, the laser is powerful enough to get light to anywhere in your venue, but still safe and legal to use.
  • Diagnostic Testing Source: Connect to the power meter with a known good patch cable, then zero out the power meter. Now you can test any cable between the two ST connectors on the Heliac-R and take reliable measurements of the cable’s condition.
